Feelings come back

Ingelerarako idatzitako idazlana. Nahiko justu nabil hiztegian, orain dela asko ez baitut erabiltzen, baina bueno.

When Chris saw the letter he knew immediately what was in it. He could smell those German flowers, he could imagine those large lands and hear birds singing. His eyes closed and his mind flew over the time. He felt happy and sad at the same time. Dreams came back and he remembered how strongly he had loved her, it reminded him of the better years in his life.

It was a long time ago though, and everything had vanished. She had left with that boy, believing it would be a better lifestyle, leaving Chris alone, drowned in his own fears, among nightmares and darkness.

Feelings fought inside him. Optimism on one hand, making him think she was really happy now, making him believe it wouldn’t have been any point in continuing their everyday routine, their arguments. Pessimism on the other, trying to fake the reality, trying to convince him of what could have happened if they had continued together, after all.

It was nonsense to be another week without sleeping nor doing anything, just thinking, crying, and feeling as a shit. So, he just put the letter back into the envelop and threw it to the bin, where it should have been from the beginning.
